Plain English Summary of Our Terms

📆 Booking & Payment

Step 1 Contact Form - Filling out the contact form does not reserve a spot.
Step 2 One-on-One Call – We get to know you better!
- We can decline a booking if we feel the tour isn’t a good fit.
Step 3 Deposit – A $1,000 USD deposit per person is required to confirm your place.
- Don’t book flights or other non-refundable travel until your spot is confirmed.
Step 4 Balance – The full balance is due 30 days before the tour starts.
- If you don’t pay on time, your booking may be canceled and your deposit lost.
- All payments are in U.S. dollars.

👮 Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for yourself and your pillion at all times.
You must follow all local laws, including drug, alcohol, and traffic laws.
You must have a valid visa and passport, and for riders, you must have a valid motorcycle license and IDP.
You are responsible for travel insurance, medical insurance, and emergency evacuation.
If you get sick, injured, detained, or break the law, that’s your responsibility, not ours.

🍷 Drugs, Alcohol & Legal Issues

Illegal drugs are never allowed, even if legal at home.
Cannabis rules vary by country:
- 🇲🇾 Malaysia (Borneo): cannabis is illegal.
- 🇹🇭 Thailand: cannabis may be legal locally, but bringing it into the country is illegal.
Riding under the influence of alcohol, marijuana, or drugs is strictly prohibited, even if those substances are legal locally.
All vape products are prohibited in Thailand and (soon) Malaysia.
If you break the law or are detained, the tour will not wait for you, and you may be removed from the tour.

🩺 Health, Safety & Risk

This is adventure travel and motorcycling is inherently risky.
Accidents, illness, injury, extreme weather, poor roads, and remote locations are part of the experience.
You participate entirely at your own risk.
We are not responsible for injury, illness, death, delays, or property damage.
You must decide for yourself whether the tour is suitable for your ability and health.

️🚦 Riding Rules

You are responsible for your own riding ability and behavior.
You must:
- Follow local traffic laws
- Wear a helmet at all times
- Ride safely and respectfully
If you ride unsafely or put others at risk, we may:
- Ask you to ride separately, or
- Remove you from the tour entirely (with no refund)

🪖 Gear & Conditions

You must bring your own helmet and riding gear.
Weather can include heat, humidity, rain, cold, altitude, or all of the above.
You are responsible for monitoring your own health, hydration, and fatigue.
Food and water quality can vary — you eat and drink at your own risk.

✈️ Jet Lag & Acclimation

Long-distance travel causes jet lag and exhaustion.
We strongly recommend arriving early to rest before the tour:
- Nearby: 0-3 hours (time zones) away - arrive on or before start day
- Far away: 4-8 hours (time zones) away - arrive 1+ days early
- Very far: 9-12 hours (time zones) away – arrive 2+ days early
- Age 50+: consider an extra rest day
Any extra accommodations or costs are your responsibility.

🏍️ Motorcycles & Rentals

To rent a bike, you must have:
- A valid motorcycle license
- An International Driving Permit
- Sufficient riding experience
Rental bikes come from third-party companies, not us.
Rental insurance is limited and may not cover damage caused by negligence.
You are responsible for:
- Fines and tickets
- Tire damage
- Damage beyond insurance limits
If you bring your own motorcycle, everything about it is your responsibility.

😝 Behavior & Conduct

Abuse, harassment, aggression, or disruptive behavior will result in immediate removal from the tour.
No refunds will be given if you’re removed for bad behavior.
Respect toward locals, staff, and other participants is mandatory.

⏳ Changes, Delays & Cancellations

We may change routes, hotels, or schedules due to weather, safety, or circumstances beyond our control.
Major events (natural disasters, pandemics, unrest, etc.) may cause delays or cancellations.
We are not responsible for missed flights, hotels, or extra expenses.
Travel insurance is strongly recommended.

💵 Cancellation Policy

(Your Side)
- If you cancel 90+ days before → partial refund: $500 fee per private room applies (meaning if you are two people sharing a room, the fee is $500 for the two of you).
- If you cancel 31-89 days before → partial refund: $1000 fee per person applies.
- If you cancel <30 days before → no refund.
- You may transfer your booking to someone else with notice and a small fee.
(Our Side)
- If we cancel far in advance (>2 weeks) → you get a refund (minus processing fees).
- If we cancel late due to extreme circumstances (<2 weeks) → refunds may be limited.
- Once a tour has started, cancellations due to extreme events do not guarantee refunds.

📷 Photos, Video & Media

We may take photos and videos of you during the tour.
These may be used for marketing, social media, or promotion.
By joining the tour, you agree to this.

🔐 Privacy

Your personal information is kept private.
We don’t sell or share your data.

By paying the deposit, you:
- Accept all risks
- Release us from liability
- Confirm the tour is suitable for you
- Agree to follow the rules
