In order to get to the waterfalls of Vilca and the tunnels of Uchco Canyon in Peru, we had to cross the formidable Andes mountains. We got to the snowy top of this pass, made a turn, and were confronted with an incredible twist in the road that hugged the curve in the rust-colored rocks, and it took our breath away (not just because of the altitude).
