Blood, Sweat, and Notiers
By Tim Notier
The adventure continues as Tim and Marisa Notier explore the ruins and backroads of South America. They encounter difficult terrain, friendly people, and the most beautiful landscapes that they have come across on their journey so far.
Ride along with them across the Salt Flats in Bolivia, explore the ruins of Machu Pichu and the Village of the Dead in Peru, and discover all of the wonders that the South American continent offers as they make their way from Colombia to Ushuaia, Argentina. A new cast of delightful characters accompanies them along the way, enhancing Tim and Marisa's journey with friendship and some much-needed support. Blood, Sweat, and Notiers will leave you holding your breath in sections, cheering them on in others, and laughing all the way to the end of the world. ✮✮✮✮✮ - Blood, Sweat, and Notiers is another reputation-burnishing addition to the Tim Notier literary legacy, but it is much more than an often-hilarious account of Tim and Marisa Notier’s two-up motorcycle journey through South America. It’s a case study in why it takes a special sort of person to travel by motorbike to the remote corners of the earth.

2Up and Overloaded
By Tim Notier
Maiden Voyage introduced the characters, 2Up and Overloaded sets them free into the world. Join Tim and his fiancée Marisa as they take a leap of faith and quit their jobs to circumnavigate the globe on their KTM 1190 Adventure motorcycle.
You'll feel the wind in your hair as they make their way across the United States, and head south through Mexico and Central America. You’ll be holding your breath as you ride along with them behind smog-extruding trucks in Tijuana, shouting at intrusive bears in the backcountry of Colorado, and pondering how to repair a bike that lies exhausted on the side of a deserted road. |
2Up and Overloaded is an inspiring, witty, and sometimes-harrowing story in which two people prepare extensively to explore the world on their motorcycle, only to discover that their most powerful resource can’t be packed in a bag.
✮✮✮✮✮ - Great book! Written from a real rider. This was the type of book I was looking for.
✮✮✮✮✮ - If anyone is on the fence to read this, take a stab. ✮✮✮✮✮ - Tim and Marissa's tales from the black stuff and other not so good surfaces. I thoroughly enjoyed the read and often felt I was on the journey with them. It was witty and frustrating at times but they never gave up and you could tell that the travelling life was all they ever wished for. Cant wait for the next book. |

✮✮✮✮✮ - Well, I knew what to expect from this book as I had read the previous one, and all I can say is "Just buy it" If you like this genre of book and have read the likes of Sam Manicom, Graham Field, etc etc, then you'll have no problem enjoying this book.

Maiden Voyage
By Tim Notier
When a couple from Chicago buy an adventure motorcycle and decide to take a road trip around the western states, they have no idea how inspirational such a short trip could be. Their journey is humorously told with beautiful scenery, interesting characters met along the way, and countless uncomfortable situations, all with a sprinkle of deep-seated inspiration.
Maiden Voyage is an unforgettable journey into the western wilds of the United States for two people who are woefully unprepared, and yet their trials and mistakes will make you want to be right there with them, discovering for yourself what it is to truly have an adventure. Advmoto Magazine: ✮✮✮✮ 4/5 stars!
“Maiden Voyage is well-written, descriptive and honest." - Traverse Magazine |
✮✮✮✮✮ - Tim has obvious talent as a writer. If he keeps writing, this will be the "earlier stuff" people come looking for after reading whatever is next; no doubt. So lets hope he does - the title implies he will. Notier's Frontiers hits all the right notes as a non-fictional travel tale. Tim's dry sense of humour and prose style perfectly complement a story of two amateurs giving adventure a shot. But it's more than just scenic description and comedic error (though Tim has a knack for that too), it tugs on heavier themes as well. Tim tells the story of how he and his fiancee discovered that they were cut out for something extra. Highly recommend reading. I finished the book in no time because I found myself picking it up at any occasion I could find.
✮✮✮✮✮ - I just finished reading “Maiden Voyage". It was surprisingly well written and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The trip into Yellowstone sounds epic. I had to laugh at the Shafer canyon ride. Riding that trail was my favorite day ever on a motorcycle. That being said I rode up it not down, and I was on a 450 not an 1190, and I was the only one on the bike!! That trail brought back some great memories.
✮✮✮✮✮ - This was a fun adventure ride, watching as someone came to the realization that life it too short not to reach for the stars. Very inspiring, with vivid descriptions of natural beauty and endearing glimpses into the author's struggle to break free from the chains of modern life.
✮✮✮✮✮ - We finished the “Maiden Voyage" book a few weeks ago; saying we as I put the wife to read as well and both of us thoroughly enjoyed the book and Tim's & Marisa's trip! Tim has great writing skills that he was hiding from the world!
